Responsible Gambling

Gambling should be an enjoyable form of entertainment — never a way to make money or escape problems. This page explains how to stay in control and where to get help if gambling stops being fun.

Our commitment

Sports and Streams is an independent odds comparison service — we do not accept bets. We only list bookmakers holding valid licences from recognised regulators (UKGC, MGA). We comply with advertising standards restricting gambling promotion to adults aged 18+, and we never target individuals who have self-excluded.

Warning signs of problem gambling

  • !Gambling with money needed for bills, rent or food
  • !Borrowing money or selling possessions to fund gambling
  • !Chasing losses — betting more to try to win back what you lost
  • !Keeping gambling secret from friends or family
  • !Feeling unable to stop even when you want to
  • !Gambling is causing stress rather than enjoyment
  • !Neglecting work, study or relationships because of gambling
  • !Friends or family expressing concern about your behaviour

If any of these apply to you, please reach out — all helplines below are free and confidential.

Tools to stay in control

Deposit limits

Set daily, weekly or monthly limits in your bookmaker account settings. Increases are delayed; reductions take effect immediately.

Session time limits & reality checks

Set reminders that pop up after a chosen period (e.g. every 30 minutes) showing your session time and net position.

Cool-off period

A temporary account suspension ranging from 24 hours to 6 weeks. The account reopens automatically when the period ends.

Self-exclusion

Permanently or long-term blocks access to a single operator. Use GamStop to exclude from all UK-licensed sites simultaneously.
